1. General information
Reconditioning and Services 2 deals with service installations applicable to residential buildings, i.e. fluid, ventilation, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations. In addition, it is also studied the fire protection, safety of use and accessibility of buildings. In this subject the installations are approached from their necessity, design, typology, application, calculations, and integration in the architecture.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of United Nations (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), specifically, the learning activities planned in this subject will contribute to the achievement of targets 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 of Goal 6 and target 11.6 of Goal 11.
2. Learning results
- Knowledge of the specific regulations on fluids, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations, and their application to residential building.
- Knowledge of the basic fundamentals, equipment and materials of fluid, electrical, protection, transportation, communication and special installations applicable to residential building.
- Ability to choose the type of fluid, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations and to integrate them correctly in the building.
- Ability to foresee the reservation of spaces for fluid, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations applicable to residential buildings.
- Ability to resolve schemes, layout and registrability of fluid, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations applicable to residential building.
- Ability to design, pre-dimension or calculate fluid, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations applicable to residential buildings, and to make the corresponding project plans.
- Aptitude for the commissioning and maintenance of fluid, electrical, protection, transport, communication and special installations applicable to residential building.

4. Academic activities
- Lectures: sessions with the professor in which the subject syllabus will be explained:
- Laboratory practices: where the development of the module project and the activity of the working group are supervised, with critical sessions.
-Assessment tests.
5. Assessment system
The subject will be partially evaluated in the continuous assessment modality through the following activities:
- Installation sheets: 5 %
- Initial pre-delivery of the practical exercise: 5 %
- Final delivery of the practical exercise: 45 % (minimum 5 out of 10)
The interest of the chosen installation, the analytical and critical capacity of the student, the ability to communicate the results and the presentation in class will be evaluated.
The practical exercise will be carried out throughout the subject. The evaluation will consider the mastery of the contents, use of terminology, accuracy of concepts, justification of arguments, autonomy, analytical and critical capacity of the student, and the ability to work in a team and communicate the results.
In the event that the pre-delivery or delivery of the practical work is made after the deadline, it may lead to a reduction in the grade ofup to 25% of the grade.
Students who pass the continuous assessment part of the subject will be able to take the following exams:
- Theoretical written/graphic test/test : 45 % (minimum 5 out of 10)
If the student has not passed the continuous assessment activities during the semester, they will have the opportunity to pass the subject by means of a global test in two official calls.
